Thank you for this! Some of mine:

Ducks Ltd (80s indie rock catnip)

Corb Lund (best Western)

Pet Shop Boys (no, really)

Kim Richey (Petty-ish Americana)

Tindersticks (Louche middle-aged British-man torch music)

Wow, I really like Kim Richey. Reminds me of Kathleen Edwards. And I'm not sure what I thought Tindersticks sounded like all these years, but it wasn't this! Extra points for "louche".

Thanks for the playlist, digging in now. And here's a few candidates for the next one:

Little Chaos by Orla Garland

A Girl, Running by Ducks Ltd.

He's a Man by Bob Vylan

I Wouldn't Put it Like That by Emperor Penguin

Too Much by Girl in Red

Waiting at the End by Softjaw

Cool stuff! I think I like Softjaw the most, followed by Ducks Ltd and (maybe) Orla Garland. Thanks for the recs!

That Lemon Twigs song is an absolute wonder and definitely one of my favourites of the year. Definitely look forward to writing about it myself in the near future. Great recommendations all round.

Hey thanks! Sorry for the late reply. I'm not super "on top of shit".
