I've been on board with Suzanne Vega since I first heard "Marlene on the Wall" on my college radio station. This new stuff is no exception. I kept listening after "Alley." "Witch" is a real banger.
Yeah, I wouldn;t say I love all of her albums, but there's a consistent level of quality that's impossible to ignore. In NBA terms, she has what you'd call a "high floor".
What a great post! I have avoided all things Eurovision - and will probably continue to do so! - but your descriptions alongside the video was a perfect bit of comedy. Literally cried laughing at the Montenegrin lady's dress, every time the camera cut to a new angle of her I just doubled over laughing harder and harder.
Agree Belgium was pretty good. Lithuania gets my vote as worst act. The Swiss entry actually piqued my interest as someone I would be interested in seeing live, but it seemed to be beamed in from a totally different event.
Yeah, Switzerland won last year, which means they got to host this year. I’ve seen some scuttlebutt that host countries tend to phone it in, knowing they’re not going to win two years in a row.
omg, at first i wasnt going to watch the eurovision video but, well, i really didnt feel like working...so i started to watch it, and scroll between the video and your commentary. i have to say, you really made me lol pretty hard a few times, i wasnt expecting the erectile dysfunction comment, but it was pretty bang on. i laughed about that a few times. thanks. i really needed that, its been a long week! <3

Bravo. This is an informative and action-packed NMFO newsletter. Thanks for it! Love the pic from the Aussie comedy tour too.
Thanks felbs! Terms like informative and action-packed are rarely applied to my “work”!

Thanks so much for the kind words. I give the people what they (barely) want!
