That Finnogun's Wake song is pretty awesome in it's Husker-Duiness. And they play only a few kilometres from my house, so thanks for the tip!

Nice! Looking forward to a full album, whenever that comes out.

I voted for Plantoid, but that blurb about Finnogun's Wake is one of the best things you've ever done.

Also, I had no idea there even was a schedule for this thing until you ruined it.

Hey, thanks! And yeah, I'm aware that these "deadlines" are self-imposed. But without them, I'd probably never end up finishing anything.

This is the way the cookie crumbled. Perhaps Yes Man is more popular than I'd realized?

Digging Plantoid! I get a bit of a Black Mountain vibe on "Pressure."

Man, I haven't thought of Black Mountain in a wee bit. I only ever owned "Wilderness Heart". Worth a deeper dive?

I think so. "Wilderness Heart" is good but my favorite album is "In the Future," and "Destroyer" is great too. I got in huge trouble when I bought tickets to see them at Bowery Ballroom in 2016 without remembering that was my wedding anniversary. (Spoiler alert: I'm now divorced.)

I mean the O'needers obviously have the better song but I’m never not voting for Tapeheads.

Crucial Taunt from Wayne's World. Tia Carrere in that movie was my first celebrity crush. 11- year old me is very mad at you.

Ok, so after some research it appears the non-Ballroom Blitz songs were also not original. So you and 11-year old me are cool now.

I hadn't even considered that one! And yes, Tia Carrere was indeed schwing-inducing.

Soggy Bottom Boys are excluded due to fine print #3, I assume?

Also, if Misbehavin' doesn't win the whole thing out of the TV bracket, we riot.

On the fence re Soggy Bottom Boys. On the one hand, "Man of Constant Sorrow" was pre-existing. But it's not like any of us had ever heard it before. Also, there wasn't really songwriting "authorship" in those days. Old folk and blues performers all just kind of played whatever without giving credit. Let me think on that one...

As for "Misbehavin", it's not a "band" in the strict sense, but I think I may include it anyway.

Aimee-Leigh and Baby Billy are a duo, that's close enough to a band for me. Besides, Baby Billy brought his clogging shoes.
