Thanks for the glossary of terms. I first thought I was reading Swahili but now I feel both enlightened, worldly and 2% smarter. Also, I'm going to see Ty Segall play live in two weeks, do you have any requests you'd like me to shout out from the balcony?
You know, I could see him being really fun live. But if you get the opportunity, offer my 50% apology (I went back and listened to that "Melted" album and I still think it sucks).
The album is uneven, but there are really fun moments. I think that’s where I land with this guy: he often sounds like he’s running with the first idea that pops into his head. When it works, great. But the quality isn’t always consistent, even within the same song.
I have to say you were really bang on with the Karen Carpenter-Carole King/Dusty Springfield-Anne Murray reference!
Thanks. I saw the Karen Carpenter ref in a couple of reviews, but I will claim ownership of any and all Anne Murray associations!

Thanks for giving a poop!
Wasn't sure about that Freckle song until they got to the tempo changes near the end, but that turned out to be a real treat.
